About PTE

Pearson Test of English (PTE) is a popular English language test for non-native English speakers who are willing to study or to immigrate to an English-speaking country.

PTE Academic is a computer-based English language test aimed at non-native English speakers who want to study abroad. The PTE test is conducted by Pearson Education and students can appear for PTE academic any number of times to prove their English language proficiency.

PTE Exam Structure

Exam pattern

1. Personal Introduction : An ungraded 1-minute session for the candidate to record a video sample of his/her academic profile.

2.  Speaking & Writing Section (54 -67 minutes) : Seven different question types to test your speaking and writing skills

3. Reading Section (29 - 30 minutes) : Five different question types to test your ability to read academic 

4. English Listening Section (30 - 43 minutes) : Eight different question types to test your listening skills using audio & video clips

Total Time : 2 hours
